REGULAR OF THE WEEK: SARAH

I was a little delirious today and Christina took the interview questions, and gave them to me at some point while i was knee deep in paperwork. I skimmed it over, and at some point misplaced the sheet of paper with the answers on it. What I recall is that she is from Ireland (I forget what town.) 

She thinks her first time at Doc Holliday's, Jessica was working, but she's unsure since she has problems remembering last week....

Her favorite song is Chicken Fried (Zac Brown) and Baton Rouge (Garth Brooks). 

Orphan Thanksgiving is one of her favorite memories, among many. Sarah loves that every time she comes in, there is always a familiar face, and it feels like a family. 

That's the best I can do to report, and I can hope either the paper turns up or I can ask Sarah the next time I see her at the bar, which would likely be tomorrow or the next day!...

...Late news update from Christina; she's from Meath, Ireland!...

Ben hails from "The Great State of Vermont.". He stumbled upon Doc Holliday's the day he found his current apartment down the block; he now considers Doc's his living room. I asked him what his favorite Doc Holliday's story was, and he said "the statute of limitations hadn't run out yet," so he took the fifth. I will surmise he meant to throw in an apology too.

His old cowboy boots hang from the ceiling above his favorite bar stool. He usually has a Shiner Bock beer and full or "broken" shot glass of Fireball in front of him.

My mother drank wine while she was pregnant with me. So that's my experience ha!

Long time ago, I'm gonna say '94. I was here the day before and the day after the smoking ban.

    1. Where did you grow up? 

    Greenwich Village, NYC     

2. What's your 1st memory or experience with alcohol.

At the Copabana up on Park Ave and 60's.  I was 17 and a senior in high school.  My parents allowed me to go to my first club scene chaperoned with my older brother and his friends.  Parents were strict.  That's when I  met my first boyfriend and had my first encounter with alcohol, a Harvey Wallbanger.

3. Describe your first time at Doc Holliday's?

My first time at Docs is 11/2011 exactly a week before Thanksgiving. Would arrive around 4 o'clock writing in my journal sitting by the jukebox where this one guy reading his newspaper, talking to himself and flailing his arms got me to inch my way every week towards the door. George introduced himself and the regulars sitting next to Chino and that's when I started to meet everyone.

4. Fav jukebox song at Doc Holliday's. 

My favorite song is a difficult one but must say Hank Williams' Jambalaya or any song Ed DiGangi's band plays at a Doc Holliday's party.

5. What's your favorite Doc Holliday's story?

Gosh there's so many but I recall going to my first two Doc Holiday's Reunion party two years and had a blast Dirty Dancing with Gail Chapman.

6. Explain what you like most about Docs.

My favorite thing about Docs is meeting the people I've met and friends discovered. One person truly special and dear to me is Joseph Santiago who has been with me through all my surgical experiences as well as the many friends at Docs.
